About Ivana Williams
A Mississippian Who Has Served, Taught, and Built
Law enforcement officer. Educator. Business owner. Mother of four. Ivana Williams has lived the Mississippi experience — and she's ready to lead it.
Her Story
Rooted in Mississippi, Ready to Lead
Ivana Williams is a Rankin County-raised Mississippi native, mother of four, business owner, educator, and former law enforcement officer. A graduate of Pearl High School and Mississippi Christian University, she also holds a master's degree in administration of justice.
Williams' professional background includes municipal policing and service as a Mississippi Highway Patrol state trooper. Her campaign for governor focuses on government accountability, responsible use of taxpayer dollars, public education, workforce development, rural health care, affordable housing, and support for small businesses.
Why She's Running
When no one else will, I will.
"I want to run for governor for the same reason I entered law enforcement: to help people and make a difference. Serving Mississippi doesn’t end when you take off the uniform. My priorities start with keeping our promises—especially to the public employees and retirees who are counting on their pensions. People who spent their careers serving Mississippi deserve security in retirement. I also want to lower everyday costs for working families. Groceries, gas, trailer tags, and permit fees add up. Small savings can make a real difference to a family or someone working to build a small business. To make room for that relief, we need to examine the state budget, identify waste, and direct those dollars where they do the most good while protecting essential services. My goal is straightforward: keep our promises, make everyday life more affordable, and make government accountable for every dollar it spends. Mississippians work hard for their money. Their government should work just as hard for them." Ivana Williams
